When the Paced QRS is Narrower than the Intrinsic Baseline QRS: Left Posterior Fascicle Pacing in a Patient with Complete Heart Block and Reduced Ejection Fraction
Abstract
Conduction system pacing (CSP) refers to a novel pacing modality that includes the His bundle pacing (HBP), proximal right bundle branch pacing (RBBP), left bundle branch pacing (LBBP), and left fascicular pacing (LFP). We present the case of 65-year-old male patient with hypertension, coronary artery disease and heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (EF of 29%) who presented to the emergency department after a brief loss of consciousness resulting in head trauma.
